About AWAKE

Founded in 2019 by Lilian Thibault, AWAKE is an innovative independent French brand.

Its mission is to highlight the natural grandeur of the world through iconic pieces of time. Designed in France and made in Switzerland.

2024 marks the beginning of a new era for AWAKE as the brand celebrates its fifth anniversary with the launch of Sơn Mài, its first permanent Swiss-made collection that takes the brand's vision to a whole new level.

Conceived as a bridge between traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship and Swiss watchmaking excellence, the new collection reflects the brand's evolution into a more sophisticated entity and its relentless commitment to pushing the boundaries of design and watchmaking innovation to continue to inspire, delight and inspire watch enthusiasts around the world.

The dial is handcrafted with layers of silver foil and lacquer.

Each dial begins with a hand-applied base of lustrous silver leaf, which acts as a radiant canvas for the resulting effect, before dozens of layers of lacquer are applied with grace and precision.

An initial application of natural lacquer sets the texture of the silver foil and prevents silver's natural oxidation, then up to 10 layers of lacquer are applied layer by layer, each adding more depth, brilliance and lasting protection.

Super-LumiNova BGW9 applied to indexes and hands

Built on a complex and unique structure, each dial creates a subtle interplay of light and dark, enhancing the depth and reflectivity of the lacquer. The space between the sapphire crystal and the dial is transformed into a space of radiant reflection, giving it a unique and unmistakable visual signature.

La Joupere's Movement for AWAKE

Known for its reliability and incredible power reserve of approximately 68 hours, the La Joux-Perret caliber G101 is equipped with a tungsten rotor specially designed for AWAKE.

The rotor features an elegant contrast of recessed and raised areas, creating a striking visual effect that is further enhanced by the refined finishing techniques.
