In 1950, Tama Keiki Co., Ltd. was founded and began manufacturing wristwatches. The following year, in 1951, the company changed its name to Orient Watch Co., Ltd., and Orient Star , inspired by the image of a shining star, was born. Since then, it has continued to attract many watch fans as a full-fledged mechanical watch brand to this day. In 2017, it merged with Seiko Epson Corporation, with which it had cooperated for over 20 years to promote its business. A new era of mechanical watches began, while retaining the Orient Star brand and sincere attitude towards watchmaking.
