AiRAiN is a brand that has been selected as one of the carefully selected suppliers , alongside Breguet and Dodane, for the production of the Type 20 pilot chronograph standard set by the French Ministry of Defense.
The Type 20 refers to a chronograph that met strict specifications, especially for the French military (then known as the Army, and particularly for helicopter pilots).
Airain Watch was founded in 1934 by Raymond Dodane , the third generation of the Dodane family of watchmakers. In the 1950s and 1960s, the company passed the rigorous Type 20 inspections and earned a worldwide reputation for its reliable, high-quality military chronographs.
After a long period of dormancy, it was revived in limited production , faithfully retaining the original design.
Today, its rarity and reliable quality continue to fascinate watch collectors around the world.
