TRILOBE、日本での本格展開を開始|世界限定100本「Trente-Deux Souscription Series」上陸

TRILOBE, officially launches in Japan | The "Trente-Deux Souscription Series," limited to 100 pieces worldwide, arrives in Japan

TRILOBE, an independent watch brand from Paris, France, began its full-scale expansion into Japan in July 2026. The reason Contevanou was drawn to TRILOBE is not simply because it's a "rare watch without hands." It's because it embodies the clear philosophy, unique technology, and visible craftsmanship we seek in independent watch brands.

From "reading" time to "feeling" time

In the watches we usually see, the hour, minute, and second hands move over a fixed dial. However, TRILOBE watches do not have hands in the conventional sense.

The three rings representing hours, minutes, and seconds themselves rotate, and the current time is read from the position of a fixed indicator.

At first, it might seem a little strange. But as you gaze at the rings quietly moving across the dial, you realize that time is not something pointed to by hands, but rather something that constantly flows and changes.

The brand TRILOBE embodies the precision of mechanical watchmaking and a poetic sensibility characteristic of Paris, all within a single dial.

Japan launch to begin with "Trente-Deux"!

The full-scale launch in Japan will begin with the "Trente-Deux" collection, marking a new milestone for TRILOBE.

"Trente-Deux" means "32" in French. The name is derived from 32 Avenue de l'Opéra in Paris, where TRILOBE's design studio and watchmaking workshop are located.

Seven years after the brand's inception, TRILOBE has evolved from a brand with a unique time display to a manufacture that expresses its worldview through its own movements. Trente-Deux is the collection that most clearly demonstrates this change.

TRILOBE's first manufacture movement "X-Nihilo"

The Trente-Deux is equipped with TRILOBE's first manufacture movement, "X-Nihilo" (meaning creation from nothing).

It is an in-house movement created by TRILOBE's manufacture, from conception, design, development, prototyping, machining, decoration, to assembly.

It features an "open island" structure that allows a large balance wheel to float independently. The mainplate and bridges boldly utilize open space. And a unique mechanism to drive the three rotating rings that display hours, minutes, and seconds.

The X-Nihilo visible from the back is not merely a movement designed to show off machinery. It has a structure that re-interprets the architectural worldview expressed on the dial side, from the movement side.

Special series limited to 100 pieces worldwide to commemorate its arrival in Japan

To coincide with the launch in Japan, a very small number of the "Trente-Deux Souscription Series" will also be available in Japan.

The Souscription Series is a special series limited to 100 pieces worldwide, consisting of 50 blue and 50 grey watches.

  • Blue: Limited to 50 pieces worldwide
  • Grey: Limited to 50 pieces worldwide

While the standard collection features a matte sunray finish on the dial, the Souscription Series adopts a satin-brushed finish that gives the light a vertical flow.

The movement is engraved with the limited number "X of 50", indicating it is one of 50 pieces, and "Souscription".

Rather than asserting its limited nature through flashy ornamentation, it subtly communicates its specialness through the dial's interplay of light and the movement's engraving. This understated difference reflects TRILOBE's unique aesthetic.

A global limited edition with a very small number available in Japan, not a Japan-exclusive limited edition

The Trente-Deux Souscription Series is not a limited edition sold exclusively in Japan.

Out of the 100 pieces worldwide, only a very small number of both blue and grey will be available in Japan. It is positioned as a rare introductory model symbolizing TRILOBE's full-scale launch in Japan. If you are interested, please look up the meaning of "Souscription".

The charm of TRILOBE, realized when you see it in person for the first time

TRILOBE watches are innovative even in photographs. However, their true charm is felt more distinctly when you wear one on your wrist.

The three slowly rotating rings. The light on the dial that changes with the angle. The integrated bracelet that flows seamlessly with the case. And the depth of the X-Nihilo visible through the case back.

The time display, which may seem complex at first glance, becomes naturally readable as you interact with it. The sensation of gradually growing closer to the watch is also part of the pleasure of owning a TRILOBE.

At Contevanou, we don't just focus on the watch's specs or rarity. We also carefully guide you through the story of how the watch came to be and the philosophy behind its creation, all while you experience the actual timepiece.

Please come to our store in Yoyogi, Tokyo, to discover the creative freedom born from an independent brand, and the current position of TRILOBE as it has embarked on its journey as a full-fledged manufacture.
