[Made to order] MIMASE lacquer series
Japan's world-class technology: lacquer series
MINASE is a Japanese watch brand that has gained popularity around the world for its unique and meticulous techniques, such as "Zaratsu polishing," "MORE structure," and " case-in-case."
Many of Minase's models reproduce the beauty of nature, but the "Lacquer Series" we are introducing this time expresses delicate and vivid beauty using a technique that Japan is proud of.
[Maki-e]

A decoration technique said to have originated in the Nara period.
This technique involves sprinkling gold powder or mother-of-pearl on a lacquered surface and then polishing it.
[Squeezed lacquer]

"Shibo urushi" creates a strange yet beautiful space that is different from ordinary lacquering.
A viscous material made from a mixture of lacquer and egg white is used. The resulting unevenness creates a unique landscape on the surface.
(Since each piece of lacquer is handmade, the pattern on each watch will vary slightly.)
